What the local games remember

The self-hosted editions store their own progress or preferences in this browser. Play Games Daily does not upload these local records to an account or cloud-save service. The table describes the records used by the editions offered here.

Recently played records which games opened successfully. Guide checklists remember the items you mark. These are separate from each game’s save: clearing recent history or a checklist does not erase game progress.

Local gameSaved in this browser

Back up or clear your local records

Local records are tied to the site address and browser profile. Another device, browser or site address does not automatically receive them. Private browsing, storage restrictions and clearing site data can remove or prevent lasting records.

Use a game’s export control where one is provided before clearing site data. Downloads and copied share cards remain wherever you save or share them. Browser site-data controls remove this site’s local records; a game’s own new-game or reset control has the narrower effect described in that game. For example, starting a new 2048 board keeps its best score.

Use Clear recent history on the homepage to remove the recent-games list. Use Clear checklist in an individual guide to remove its marks. These controls do not clear the game providers’ cookies or saves.

We Become What We Behold does not save a story run, and Sandspiel does not save its canvas between openings. A Sandspiel screenshot cannot be imported as a saved scene in this edition. Closing or reloading Velvet Alibi ends its current round.

Anyone sharing the same browser profile may be able to view its local records. Play Games Daily does not use account logins to separate those records. For records held inside external games, use the provider’s controls and your browser’s settings for that provider.

When an external game connects

GameMonetize, GamePix and OnlineGames.io games load from their providers after you choose Start game. Before starting, the game page identifies the provider and explains that the player may contain advertising. Browsing the game page does not by itself start its external player.

Once loaded, the provider receives the network information needed for that connection, such as your IP address, browser information and the referring site’s origin. The game and its advertising or service partners may process gameplay or device data and use their own cookies or browser storage under the provider’s policy.

Play Games Daily does not control the contents of the provider’s game, its advertising, its storage rules or its retention periods. Local save and checklist controls on this site do not manage those records. Play Games Daily cannot read, export or restore saves held by a player on another origin.

Exit game removes the embedded player from the page. It does not delete records already held by a provider or retract requests already sent. External links and any additional pages you open have their own privacy practices.

OnlineGames.io’s privacy policy describes its own analytics, advertising cookies, service partners and minimum age for consent under applicable rules. Review that provider’s policy before starting its games.

Age requirements for GamePix games

GamePix games are for players aged 13 or older who also meet the minimum age required in their country of residence. This applies to the standard GamePix players for TenTrix, Kobadoo Flags and Fathom Frenzy.

GamePix describes a separate Kids service in its terms. The standard players offered here are subject to the age requirements above.

Play Games Daily’s site analytics

Play Games Daily uses Google Analytics 4 on playgamesdaily.com to understand visits and use of the site. Site analytics is on by default on the published website. Local previews and test addresses keep it off.

When enabled, Google Analytics receives browser and connection information and records page visits. Our site events send the public page address and title without URL query strings or fragments. Some self-hosted games also report events such as being ready or starting; these site events do not include local saves, search text or game inputs. Google Analytics may use first-party cookies.

Use Analytics settings in the footer and choose Turn off analytics to stop new site-analytics events. This does not retract information already sent to Google or disable advertising and data collection inside games delivered by external providers. Your choice is separate from all game saves.

The site-analytics preference uses local storage and a first-party cookie with a maximum lifetime of 365 days. Browser settings can prevent it from being remembered. You can use the same control to turn analytics back on; the site does not backfill page visits made while it was off.

Opening the site sends requests to the host serving its pages and assets. Ordinary network requests expose connection information such as your IP address, requested address and browser headers to that host. Cloudflare is the selected hosting provider for the published site; its privacy policy explains its own data practices.

The self-hosted game editions obtain their runtime resources from this site. External game providers are described above. Creator pages, repositories, provider policies and original-game links lead to other sites when you follow them.

Play Games Daily has no account registration, public uploads or cloud-save service in this release. Services or forms you encounter after following an outside link belong to that separate site.
