PROGRESS KNIGHT — INDEPENDENT LOCAL EDITION Original game by Ihtasham42 (credited as chowdhuryihtasham on CrazyGames). Original repository: https://github.com/ihtasham42/progress-knight Fixed source revision: f6dd0c3c444d838f80325bbdca918160b99e89e5 Original licence: Unlicense. The full text is in LICENSES.txt. This edition preserves that source's 20 jobs, 17 skills, 16 homes/items, medieval names and descriptions, numerical data, experience and income formulas, unlock requirements, and two amulet rebirth systems. It does not claim to be the current publisher-hosted version or an official release. Play Games Daily's 2026 local adaptation adds a locally drawn SVG crest, local CSS, keyboard-operable buttons, narrower-screen layout, an explanatory ledger, validated JSON/original-format import, portable export, save isolation, corrupt-record preservation, replacement recovery, and cross-tab conflict detection. The readable engine is generated from hash-checked upstream sources; all adaptations are explicit in the maintained compose.mjs. The original 20 Hz fixed simulation and base four game days per second are retained while active. This edition starts paused and stops its timer while hidden, in dialogs, when paused by the user or parent, and when disposed. It does not award offline progress. Reopening a save requires Resume life. The original HackTimer worker, remote W3.CSS and remote Discord icon are not loaded or included in this runtime. No network fetch, ads, analytics, account service or third-party runtime library is used by this edition. Corrected integration defects: source-wide implicit variables are scoped to one engine instance; boolean CSS display assignments are proper display values; skipping all skills does not silently select Concentration; an already-active extra may be switched off even with a low balance. Runtime storage and importing are completely replaced rather than exposing the original whole-origin reset or unvalidated object hydration. Base values and executable methods always come from the fixed code, never from a save. The normal historical meaning of progression is retained: current levels become previous-life maximums on the first rebirth; the second rebirth resets those maximums and increases evil. This remains a long-form incremental game. Local packaging does not shorten its progression. Saves belong to this browser origin and this game's namespaced keys. They are personal records, not verified competitive scores. The previous record is retained once before a deliberate replacement, when browser storage is writable. Corrupt records are not replaced by automatic saving. A blocked storage environment supports play and explicit backups in memory. Edition and source details are available from Credits in the game. Main-site shell integration 1 (2026-10-20): collection navigation points to /#games. In a same-origin host, an explicit collection-link click requests player exit through a source-checked message. Standalone sibling promotion links are omitted. The complete original license texts remain in this package.
